Julie Larson-Green was the chief experience officer for the Applications and Services Group at Microsoft from last year. Before this role, she was an EVP at Devices and Studios Group and before that an EVP at Windows group. Today, Recode reported that Julie Larson-Green is taking over the role of Kirk Koenigsbauer. Her role will be to head the Office 365 client applications product team. Accountabilities include product development, design, delivery, strategy, and general management of Office applications across Windows, iOS, Android, and web platforms. This includes consumer and enterprise editions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, Access, and new offerings for Sway and Office Lens. The team is distributed globally with development centers in Redmond/WA, Silicon Valley, Boston, Ireland, China, and India.
Kirk Koenigsbauer, the corporate VP who had been leading the Office client apps team will move to a role within the unit headed by chief marketing officer Chris Capossella.
