Report: Acer And Lenovo To Launch Intel Based Windows 8 Tablets In 3Q 2012

Acer and Lenovo is set to launch Windows 8 tablets based on Intel Clover Trail platform in 3Q 2012, according to supply chain sources of Digitimes. Intel’s current low power processor efforts with “midfield” seems to have very hard competition from ARM based chips and so PC makers are waiting for Intel’s Clover Trail platfrom to make Windows 8 tablets which will be targeted at Enterprise customers where they can run their legacy apps without any changes.
