Microsoft’s game streaming service, Mixer, has just released mobile apps for their apps on iOS and Android. The apps have been rechristened from the Beam, the older name of the service.

The app gives viewers a window into a streamer’s game worlds, allowing you to do everything from striking lightning down, to generating the level’s terrain.

On iOS and Android the app offers:

  • Realtime streaming protocol for < 250ms stream delay (can be higher on mobile)
  • Chromecast support
  • Follow channels to keep up-to-date
  • Full-featured chat with all your favourite Mixer emotes
  • Earn Spark points while watching streams

The apps can be found on iOS here and Android here, and readers can follow our channel at mixer.com/mspoweruser.
