Reminder to Developers: Only YOU can stop 16 bit banding

Istartedsomething has a reminder to developers – Mango contains setting to activate 32 bit rendering of colour by dithering which is effective at abolishing banding on AMOLED screens.

The feature is off by default, meaning developers need to enable it on an app by app basis.  It does use more battery power, so should only be used when necessary, but for example when unpredictable images such as album art will be shown may be a very good idea.
