The name REDFLY should remind most of our readers, that netbook-looking Smartphone companion. The device created by CELIO basically provided a keyboard and a bigger screen for your Windows Mobile device. Now CELIO is looking to expand the REDFLY branding to some more useful products.
The first, is an XP or Vista software with which you can run Windows Mobile on your desktop or laptop computer. The service does not seem much different from several remote management programs that let you see your Windows Mobile phone screen on your computer (read: MyMobiler), but will provide the same advantage of increased screen resolution as the Redly does.
The second REDFLY product, although is just a proof of concept for now, it does sound rather interesting. The REDFLY Smartphone Dock as it is called, is a dock obviously that lets you connect your Windows Mobile device (or any other Smartphone) with an external monitor or keyboard. Real-life applications vary from editing documents on the go to using your Windows Mobile phone on your car monitor.
As a proof of concept, no release date has been set for the Smartphone Dock, but the PC Software is expected this March.
