For those of you who bought the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2, the online beta is now available. The update is quite small at just over 5GB. Thank God, the game is already stonking humongous.
Red Dead Redemption 2 included a very weighty single-player campaign that may have lasted a little too long, but do you know what will fix that? Never-ending multiplayer!
According to a report by The Verge, Red Dead Redemption 2’s online will be available for Ultimate Edition owners earlier than others. Starting tomorrow, the online mode will start rolling out in order to not repeat the mistakes made on GTA Online’s release.
Those who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on launch day will get to play on Wednesday, November 28th. Anyone who played the game between October 26th and 29th can play on Thursday. The beta becomes available to everyone on Friday.
Red Dead Online’s release schedule is confusing and, probably, unnecessary. It adds insult to injury that no customers were told about this game’s ridiculous requirements to play the game’s multiplayer component, but at least there’s been a bit of thought put into making the online experience as stable as possible.
