Razer has officially announced the Razer Junglecat, a controller that’s designed to bring console controls to Android smartphones.
With twin analog thumbsticks, bumper buttons, a 4-way D-Pad on the left, and 4 extra action buttons on the right, the Razer Junglecat allows for precision and accuracy without sacrificing your view of the screen.
The best part is that the Junglecat can be used in two different modes: mobile and desktop. For mobile play, you can attach one or both controllers to the specially designed case and game as you go.
You can also attach the controllers to the controller grip and use the Junglecat as a handheld controller with other Android devices.
For desktop play, you can pair your controllers with compatible Windows PCs. The Junglecat can also be paired with certain TVs and monitors, if a compatible Android device has video output.
The Junglecat has over 100 hours of use on a single charge and uses USB-C charging. It utilises low energy Bluetooth with a low latency response, meaning you get maximum playtime for minimum effort.
“Mobile gaming is hampered by players having to put their fingers on the screen to control the actions,” said Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s peripherals business unit. “The Razer Junglecat improves the mobile gaming experience substantially with two feature-rich controllers, giving players an unobstructed view of the action and easy access to game features without interrupting play.”
You can also use the Razer Gamepad App to personalise your play experience to your liking. You can use the app to do things like change your controller sensitivity, remap buttons and keys, and sort out your mobile game library.
