Razer has introduced two versions of its Blade gaming laptops toady, a 17.3″ & 14″ laptop. The 17.3″ Razer Blade Pro is powered by an Intel 4th generation Haswell processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics. The laptop is 0.88 inches thick weights a hefty 6.5 pounds. The Blade Pro comes with Dolby Home Theatre v4 speakers, Razer Synapse 2.0 built-in, and a programmable keyboard. The display is a full-HD LED display linked in combination with the Switchblade User Interface (SBUI). The laptop will also come with a number of free professional apps including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro, Maya, GIMP and others yet to be announced. See the full specs below.
Of course, a 14 inch gaming laptop would actually be a real “portable” machine. Its specs are not quite impressive as the Blade Pro’s, but would certainly play most games on the market today. The laptop is 0.66 thick, making it the thinnest laptop in its class. The same graphics card is used as the Blade Pro, and it will also use an upcoming Intel processer at 37W TDP compared to 47W TDP w/ the pro. It also features 8 GB of fast 1600 MHz DDR3L memory and comes with 128 GB of solid-state storage expandable to 256 GB or 512 GB SSD. Battery life is 6 hours, which is quite good for a machine as powerful as this is.
Both laptops are quite pricey with the pro starting at $2,299 and the 14-inch Blade at $1,799. You can pre-order starting June 3rd at midnight.
