Qualcomm today revealed the Snapdragon 821, which is apparently 10 percent faster than the Snapdragon 820. The Snapdragon 821 is very similar to the Snapdragon 820, as it still includes a lot of the tech from the 820, such as the 600 Mbps X12 LTE modem. So how’s the 821 faster than the 820? Well, according to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 821 includes a clock speed of 2.4GHz, up from the Snapdragon 820’s 2.15GHz. According to Qualcomm, we will be seeing the 821 on drones, tablets, robots, virtual reality headset, and of course, smartphones.
For now, there isn’t a tonne of information available about the Snapdragon 821. We should start seeing devices sporting the Snapdragon 821 soon, but it will be interesting to see if Microsoft will be using the Snapdragon 821 for its upcoming flagship Windows Phone.
