Put away that credit card–the HTC Titan Buy one, get one free deal was a “creative comp”

We posted yesterday about Microsoft’s Facebook site offering a HTC Titan Buy one, Get one free deal on the AT&T network.

We have now received an email from Microsoft explaining that this was posted in error, and that it was never meant to go public.

They write:

We are working to remove the screen and if you could clarify with your audience that there is no plan in place for a BOGO for the TITAN.

Launching a new device with a BOGO deal is probably not the best way to show confidence in a product, but at least we know they are thinking about it … 😉
