The game is called Pegs ‘n Holes, and it’s arguably one of the best logic puzzle games for Windows Phone.
Users seem to love it, with over 200,000 downloads, and an average 4.5/5 star user rating.
The game’s premise is pretty simple: You are presented with a board full of colored holes and surrounding pegs. The goal is to determine the correct sequence of playing the pegs such that all of the holes get filled. You need to think ahead to make sure you’re playing each peg in the right order so that you don’t get stuck.
Although it’s a simple concept, it can be quite challenging. Fortunately, the game lets you start with smaller boards to get familiar with the game before moving to larger boards. And if you get stuck, the game lets you undo your moves to find the mistake. There’s no time limit, so you can take as much time as you need (though you’ll get faster with practice). The boards are randomly generated so the game always feels fresh, and each board has at least one guaranteed solution.
The game features both an offline mode (where you can just play for fun, or try to beat your own personal best time), and an online mode (where you’re given the same board as others from around the world to see how well you perform).
It’s a fun way to spend a few minutes… or a few hours 🙂
The game is free, so I recommend trying it out.
