Plex News is now available on Xbox One

Plex News is now available on Xbox One, allowing users to browse local, national, and international news from nearly 200 sources.

“Plex News is now available on the Plex Xbox One app and on Plex Media Player.

With Plex News, users can enjoy video news from some of the most trusted sources on the planet, presented seamlessly alongside your own media. Your personal and customizable newscast learns as you watch content from over 190 sources for national, international and local news – like Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Financial Times and Euronews – as well as top local news sources for most of the US to ensure that your newscast is full of the stuff you want. It does not require a Plex Media Server, all you need is your Plex account to watch.”

Previously, though Plex was already available on Xbox One, it did not support Plex News.

If you’re one of the growing number of cord cutters, it’s good to see Plex News supported on more and more devices. Other platforms where Plex News is available include Android TV, NVIDIA SHIELD, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Plex Web, Android Mobile, and iOS. Because it is ad-supported, you won’t be charged any additional fees to use it.
