As part of Xbox’s free play days, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be free to play on Xbox One next weekend. This announcement comes straight from the second episode of Inside Xbox.
If you didn’t get to see the @PUBG event from PAX East with @deadmau5 & @PLAYERUNKNOWN, stay tuned for some highlights. Bottom line, MIRAMAR will be out in May and a Free Play Days from 19-22 April pic.twitter.com/a89CXVBluy

You can download PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for free anytime from April 19 through April 22. Should you choose to purchase the full game after the free weekend is over, any Battle Points you earn will carry over.
You won’t be able to get a taste of the new Miramar desert map since it’s releasing in May, but you will be able to play Erangel with everyone else.
Xbox has been pushing its console exclusivity of PUBG hard ever since its launch into Xbox Game Preview in early December so it’s no surprise that the company is trying to get as many people playing it as possible. You can already purchase a 1TB Xbox One S PUBG bundle with the game for $299.00.
If you’ve been holding off on jumping into the battle royale craze, this is the perfect opportunity to check out what started it. Of course, it’s main competitor Fortnite: Battle Royale is already a free-to-play game.
