Pinspiration adds Live Tiles, an Activity Tab and Infinite Scroll

Pinspiration, the best way to browse Pinterest, on Windows Phone has been updated with new features for both people who have accounts and those who love to browse the site without an account.

For those who haven’t heard of Pinterest , it has been described as the next big thing in social media and is now growing as fast as Facebook did in 2006.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the  beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

Don’t Have a Pinterest Account? You Still Get New Features

Without a Pinterest account you can still browse photos, read comments, visit profiles and check out some of the amazing pictures Pinterest users have organized into boards using Pinspiration.

The first new feature that is now available to all users of Pinspiration is Live Tiles.  You can now enable Live Tiles and have your start screen lit up with the most popular pictures of the day on Pinterest

Another feature we’ve added that is available for all users is infinite scroll capability to the Explore tab. There is a virtually bottomless list of updates you can scroll through in each category. Whenever you hit the bottom of the page, more items are loaded.

New Features For Pinterest Users

After we released Pinspiration, the one feature users have been requesting the most is to provide a way for them to see how people are engaging with their content on Pinterest. We have addressed this by adding the Activity tab. The Activity tab shows which users have recently started following you or have liked, repinned or commented on one of your pinned pictures.
