Sonos is a popular multi-room audio system with integration with many streaming media services like Rhapsody and even Spotify.

Phonos allows one to control the system using your Windows Phone 7 handset.

The software features:

  • Play/Pause/Next/Previous
  • Choose music from your collection (by Artist, Album, Playlist, Track etc.)
  • Choose music from Internet Radio, Line In, Music Shares, Sonos Playlists etc.
  • See album artwork
  • Control Volume/Mute
  • Select Zones
  • Bookmark favorite tracks
  • Control Shuffle & Repeat modes
  • Add and Remove tracks from the queue

Because of the socket restrictions on Windows Phone 7 the software still needs a server installed on a PC in the home.

The full system costs $9.99 and comes with a trial mode which allows one to test the setup of the system before purchasing.

Read more about the software here, and find it in Marketplace here.
