Xbox Boss Phil Spencer is rubbing his tech in our faces again as the Xbox head touts the fact that he has an Xbox Scarlett console as his primary home console.

With the next-generation console scheduled to release during the Holiday 2020 period, it makes sense for development units to be out in developers’ hands. With Sony PlayStation 5 dev-kits already in the wild, Xbox appears to be following suit.

However, Spencer’s claims that Project Scarlett has taken over the Xbox One X as his primary home console. This means two things: Xbox Scarlett is in a close-to-final state and there are games to play on the unreleased console. With the console touting backward compatibility, it must be in a good enough place for Spencer to be using the system as his primary gaming device.

“And it’s started….this week I brought my Project Scarlett console home and it’s become my primary console, playing my games, connecting to the community and yes, using my Elite Series 2 controller, having a blast,” Spencer wrote on Twitter. “Great work by the team, 2020 is going to be an incredible year.”

Xbox’s Project Scarlett console is coming during the 2020 holiday period with the upcoming exclusive Halo Infinite as a confirmed launch title.
