People Discovery and Caption Editing Comes to Pictastic on Instagram

Just in time for the holidays, Pictastic, has released a wealth of new features for Instagram fans on Windows Phone. With this release Pictastic continues to live up to the moniker of most complete Instagram experience on Windows Phone.

The most notable change is the improved navigation where the app now uses icons in the title bar to switch between the various sections of the app instead of relying on swiping between these sections.

In addition the Explore section now has two tabs, Photos which shows the most popular photos on Instagram and People which shows people you might be interested in following based on the photos you’ve liked and your social network.

Caption Editing

Typos are annoying. They are even more annoying when they appear on one of your amazing photos you just uploaded to instagram. Recently Instagram announced the ability to edit captions and now Pictastic is the only app for Windows Phone that allows you to do so.

Get More Followers by Adding Popular Tags to Your Photos

The secret to getting lots of followers is to use the right hashtags so people browsing these tags find your pics. But it can be hard to figure out what tags to use for your photo. The new “add tags” gives you ultimate flexibility in either choosing from a curated library of tags per topic, picking individual tags from the top 100 most popular tags on Instagram or creating your own custom lists of tags.

It should be noted that this functionality is not available in any Instagram app on Windows Phone.
