Outlook for Android and iOS gets updated with new access and security controls

Microsoft today released a new update for Outlook for Android and iOS. With the latest update, the company is introducing new access and security options for both of the platforms. The latest update introduces ADAL-based authentication which will allow Outlook to get authenticate from Office 365’s permission page – this will allow users use multi-factor authentication, and it’s indeed a nice addition.

Alongside multi-factor authentication, the latest update introduces improved security for Office 365 users.  “All Office 365 users will receive a prompt in Outlook, which automatically moves their account from basic authentication to ADAL-based authentication,” Microsoft said in its announcement blog post.
