Outlook crashing for many following monthly Patch Tuesday


Several Outlook users are reporting issues with their desktop client. Chatter on Twitter suggests that following Microsoft’s monthly release of security patches, which rolled out yesterday, desktop client of Outlook is crashing for many. Microsoft is yet to acknowledge the issue.

Numerous users are reporting issues with Outlook, though the exact problem hasn’t been identified yet. Some users, however, are finding MS15-115, part of a critical update that Microsoft rolled out on Tuesday, as the bottleneck.

As ZDNet reports, some users have noted that Outlook crashes only when web-formatted (HTML) emails are displayed. A spokesperson for Microsoft told Microsoft-News that they are looking into the matter.
