Orbion is a fast-paced and simple, yet addictive, game where you have to move a circular ring in order to get the incoming color to match the ring’s color.
The gameplay is really fantastic, and overall, Orbion is a game highly worth buying. However, the occasional frame rate stutter is a bit disappointing.
Addicting and simple; two words that are key to success in a mobile phone game. The idea is simple: spin a ring around so that the colored sections of the ring match the incoming projectile. However, the idea becomes incredibly more exciting when the cannon starts shooting faster, the colored sections increase, and the balls have special power-ups that change the size of the circle and even swap the colored sections. With these little variations, the game becomes incredibly fun to play and is an instant classic! You can try it yourself by downloading the demo, and with that you will be able to play the first two levels of the game.
The visuals are really great, and the amount of subtle animations found in the game’s screen is fantastic. However, the frame rate occasionally slows down when you’re moving the circle. If that was fixed, the game would be perfect. The music in the background fits the game perfectly, but does repeat after about a minute. The sound effects are pretty good.
Lasting Value: 4/5
This game could last as long as you want, but shooting for high scores can’t keep you playing forever. However, the story mode has 6 decently challenging levels that will probably keep you playing for awhile, and the time trail mode is a really fun way to get extra gameplay value from the game.
