Official WMPoweruser app gets updated with new improvements

Just yesterday, we revamped our website. Today, we’re releasing a new update for our official Windows Phone app, and we’ll also share what’s upcoming for our official Windows Phone app.

The latest update for the WMPU app doesn’t come with any new features, and we’ve added some user interface improvements. For example, the theme of the app has been updated to match the theme of our new website. We’ve also added the new WMPU logo, and added support for in-app purchases for Windows 10 Mobile users. The app update is currently propagating through the Windows Phone Store, and should be available in the next few hours. Nonetheless, if you want to get the app for your Windows Phone, you can get it by heading over to this link or using the widget below:

So, let’s talk about the upcoming update for the official WMPoweruser app. Yes, we’re working on a new update for the app, and it’s coming soon.

So what’ll be new on the update? With the upcoming update, we’ll introduce a new user interface, inspired by the Universal Windows Apps UI. The app will (finally) allow you to change themes, which means, there’s a new dark theme! We’ve also added the ability to customize the look of the light theme based on your phone’s accent.

Just like the latest update for the site, we’re adding a whole bunch of customization features to the app. With the upcoming update, you’ll be able to adjust the font size, as well as the typography for articles. The update will also bring an improve live tile, as well as notifications — and if you’d like to customize the settings for the live tile and notifications, you’ll be able to do so with the upcoming update.

That’s not all, there are a lot of other features which we’ll reveal when the app’s available.

So when is it coming? We’ll let you know when it’s ready.
