Engadget has received some official training documentation for the soon to be released Treo 800w. There is no real new information, but it confirms the specs previously leaked, and also the appearance of the device (also largely unchanged, despite romours of a mild face-lift).
The Windows Mobile 6.1 device features Palm’s tweaks, including a ringer switch, WIFI button and Palm’s propietary and more attractive SMS client.
Engadget appears to be concerned about the lack of MMS on the device, but Sprint smartphone users would be familiar with Sprint longstanding policy on this.
One intesting element on the today screen is what appears to be a location-based search, allowing one to look for example for the cheapest gas prices close to your position.
