Notification centre app for fully unlocked Windows Phones created

Regular readers may get a feeling of deja vu when reading that Windows Phone Hacker has created a notification centre app.

His new app however is very different from the last, which used a service and server on the internet and managed to briefly pass certification and exist in marketplace.

The new app is much more in the tradition of Windows Phone hacker, and is for fully unlocked devices ie not just devices that can run any XAP, but that can also ran any EXE (like most custom ROMs).

His app installs a service running on the device itself (no internet involved) and caches incoming toast notifications.

The app can not cache non-push messages, such as texts, emails, calls, etc, meaning it will not do the full job, but it will help for many cases of the mysterious buzz one may have missed.

Jaxbot, who seems a bit tired of the whole affair, is not planning to support the app, but if you a) have a fully unlocked device and b) is feeling adventurous you can read more at his site here.
