One of Microsoft’s cornerstones of Windows Phone 7 was that the user experience belongs to Microsoft, and no OEM will be allowed to change it.
It seems however for Nokia, who is “more than an OEMâ€, this rule may not apply, with Stephen Elop saying “Yes!†in response to a question if Nokia will be able to “customize everything on Windows Phone 7 in order to differentiate itself?
He did however go on to say that Nokia would prioritise compatibility, and would not make extensive use of this capability.
