Ilari Nurmi, Vice President of Product Marketing at Nokia responsible for the Nokia’s smartphone strategy has left Nokia just before the global launch of new Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 devices. He tweeted the following,
I have left Nokia. I am thankful for almost 15y there. I wish Nokia all the best and look forward to getting Lumia 920 once available.
He didn’t reveal any specifics about why he is leaving Nokia. However, Reuters is speculating that disappointing investors with lack of details such as launch dates and prices of upcoming Lumia devices may be the reason. Of course we can think of a more immediate reason, the fiasco around the OIS in the Nokia Lumia 920, which we are relatively sure caused some heads to roll.
