In countries like USA, Nokia currently have devices only running on GSM networks like T-Mobile and AT&T. But the situation is going to change soon as Nokia has confirmed its plans that its going to re-enter into the CDMA market of carriers like Verizon and Sprint with Windows Phone 7. In an interview at the CTIA Wireless conference, Nokia USA Vice President and General Manager Mark Slater have told Forbes that
“Our go-forward smartphone platform for CDMA will be Windowsâ€,“We will have high-end Windows smartphones, but with Nokia’s scale, Windows will have to play in all parts of our portfolio,†.
So this confirms that no Symbian devices will be released through CDMA networks before its Windows Phone devices.
