Nokia has posted a video about their Nokia Rookie Awards, given to the best Rookies at the Burton US Open in Vail, Colorado. Working with the US Open judges, Nokia awarded a cash prize to young entrants in the Halfpipe and Slopestyle who demonstrated an outstanding performance, a winning attitude and the potential to go far.
The video for the award was shot entirely on a Nokia Lumia 920 with some minor post-production editing using Final Cut Pro 7 and a small amount of color correction in Color.
Some of the footage looks production quality, which shows how far we have come when it comes to camera phone quality. In fact the worst part of the video is the text overlay, which looks like it could do with some antialiasing to smooth it.
Hopefully one day Nokia will deliver software which will allow us to do not just shooting but some light editing on our phones also, especially with cameras as good as the one in the NL 920.
