Posting on their Conversations blog, Nokia made the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon Wireless official.

The post confirms the handset will feature the same camera as the Nokia Lumia 920, with the addition of a Xenon flash and will feature 3 high-audio-amplitude-capture microphones to make sure you can capture high-end, distortion-free audio even in the noisiest environments.

The screen remains the usual 4.5 inches and Nokia claims good day-light readability. The device retains wireless charging capability. The handset will come with the full Here Drive + GPS navigation package.

The smartphone will cost only $99 after a $50 main-in rebate and will hit Verizon on the 16th May.

As rumoured earlier the handset will also come for a limited period  with a $25 credit for Windows Phone apps and games with the purchase of the phone.

The announcement appears to lack fanfare, out of keeping with the tens of millions of dollars of marketing money that is rumoured to be accompanying the device.
