Nokia Lumia 925’s external antenna will not have the iPhone 4 deathgrip

The aluminium band around the outside of the Nokia Lumia 925 also acts as the antenna for the handset, which immediately made us concerned about reception issues, as was the case with the iPhone 4, for which Apple ultimately had  to hand out thousands of bumper cases and settled a class-action lawsuit.

Nokia has however got a tiny bit more antenna expertise than Apple, and as the above video shows, starting about about 2:18, I needn’t have worried, as reception is unaffected by grip, even in the basement location where the video was recorded.
