Nokia Lumia 920 used in Voice-controlled Home Automation demo

Windows Phone 8 has a very extensible voice control system, and in the above video we have Thai developer Sittiphol using NFC, Bluetooth and Voice recognition to operate a very extensive home automation system.

I think on some occasions Sittiphol goes a bit too far – I suspect using your phone to turn on your hair dryer is probably a bit excessive, but one can imagine situations, such as with the physically disabled, where such a feature can come in very handy.

Sittiphol makes the point that the above video is not a staged demo, but that everything is actually live and working. Read more about Sittiphol HomePair system at his blog here.
