While we have heard all kinds of rumours regarding the arrival date of the WorldWide version of the Nokia Lumia 900 in Europe, we have had no solid information so far.
Now we have heard from a reliable source that the handset will reach O2 Germany, and presumable the rest of Europe, in the second week of May, i.e. between the 7th and 13th May 2012.
The handset will of course lack LTE, but will have dual channel HSDPA+ to compensate, which should still make it pretty fast indeed.
Interestingly that would also be nearly exactly 6 months after the release of the Nokia Lumia 800 in November last year, giving an idea of Nokia’s cadence of device releases.
Nokia has not yet decided if it will be bringing the Nokia Lumia 610 to Germany. With the Nokia Lumia 710 already so cheap and of course not encumbered by Tango restrictions, I could not see much point either.
