The pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 900 launched 2 days ago, and the enthusiasm amongst the Windows Phone community has been really palpable.
Of course what we really need is for this enthusiasm to result in good sales amongst the main stream consumers.
Hopefully an early sign of this is that the handset has pushed its way to the top of Amazon’s best seller charts for AT&T handsets even before release. The handset is at present the only Windows Phone in the top 10, and is divided into its Black and Cyan configuration.
In terms of the US market overall, the handset holds position 4 and 5 overall, but we suspect if the two SKUs were combined it would chart significantly higher.
Hopefully the momentum will continue well into launch and the handset can help Windows Phone break out of its niche position in the USA.
