Nokia handing out free coffee in SoHo.  Nokia stalking the streets of London

After a rather exciting run-up, including piles of saturation marketing, the Nokia Lumia 800 is now available to pick up in stores across Europe.

Launch festivities includes people handing out Nokia flowers up and down Oxford Street, lucky buyers / people who checked in using the hashtag were given prizes, they were handing out coffee in SoHo and at the train stations in London, laying on free rickshaw rides and numerous other attention-grabbing stunts.

The handset features a great design, and iconic Nokia features such as an 8 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and free Nokia Music and Nokia Drive, so should tick the main boxes of any traditional Nokia buyers.

From the Windows Phone 7 side the device has 16 GB of storage, a ClearBlack screen and a 1.4 ghz processor.

If you are getting one try and get it early in the day, as Nokia and Microsoft are offering the first buyers free gift cards and other goodies worth between £20 and £30.
