Nokia Lumia 630 coming to South Africa in July, 930 in September

Yesterday Microsoft launched the Nokia Lumia 630 and 930 at an event in Johannesburg, South Africa

The affordable NL 630 will hit the subcontinent in July for R1999, while the high end NL 930 will become available in September. The price of the Nokia Lumia 930 was not revealed.

The Lumia 630 follows on the success of the Nokia Lumia 520, according to to Patrick Henchie, head of products for Microsoft Mobile Devices in South and East Africa,.

“The Nokia Lumia 520 was one of the successful devices in South Africa and globally,” and the new Nokia Lumia 630 will keep up with that tradition and design heritage, he said.

Windows Phone is thought to hold 6% ownership share in South Africa, and to be growing strongly year on year.
