The Nokia Lumia 521, a T-Mobile exclusive

T-Mobile introduced the concept that phones actually cost real money to the USA last month, and the Un-carrier is now adding the option for customers to reduce this very real but previously hidden cost by buying a brand new Windows Phone.

T-Mobile today announced that it would start selling the Lumia 521 on May 22.  It will be available via the carrier’s retail and online stores for $29.99 down and 24 equal monthly payments of $5 for qualifying customers with T-Mobile’s new Simple Choice Plan.

Microsoft has also revealed the handset will support T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi Calling feature. T-Mobile will be rolling out an update to those who purchased the handset from other outlets on the 20th May.

The Microsoft Store,  is also planning to start carrying the handset this weekend.
