Nokia Lumia 1320, 1520 and 2520 coming to South Africa in Early 2014

MyBroadband.co.za reports that Nokia’s new range of smartphones and tablets are coming to South Africa in early 2014.

The handsets will be available on carriers Vodacom and Cell C, with Vodacom saying they are hoping for an early 2014 launch, and Cell C saying they will carry the Nokia Lumia 1320 and 1520, and that pricing will be made available closer to launch.

MTN SA’s head of products & solutions, Mike Fairon, was less clear, saying “MTN will make the necessary announcements to media about ranging Nokia products and its pricing once all relevant tests and quality checks have been done.”

The Windows Phone OS is growing strongly in South Africa at present, where it is believed to have over 10% market share.
