Nokia looking to bring LTE Lumia WP8 handsets exclusively to Everything Everywhere in UK

imageThe Financial Times reports that Nokia is in talks with Everything Everywhere, the joint venture between T-Mobile and Orange in UK, to launch one of  their new Windows Phone 8 handsets on EE’s new LTE network in November this year.

EE is at present the only network with a license to launch LTE in UK, re-using some of their existing spectrum. The only networks such as Vodafone and 3 will only be able to launch some time next year.

The handset would be exclusive to EE, similar to the way the the Nokia Lumia 900 was on AT&T in USA.

FT notes this is a departure from Nokia’s previous strategy, which was to try and get their handsets on as many carriers as possible, but this should net Nokia more dedicated marketing and sales resources.

What do our readers think of this new sales strategy, which in US left many customers on other carriers frustrated? Let us know below.
