920For many the only negative with the Nokia Lumia 920 is the absence of expandable storage via microSD card.

Now Nokia executive VP Kevin Shields have explained that for Nokia, in this case it was all form over function.

"We started with the premise that we wanted an uncompromised physical form," Shields told PC Pro. "To put an SD card slot in it would have defiled it."

He adding the existing ports in the polycarbonate uni-body smartphone was difficult enough.

"Most people aren’t using the storage in their phone, anyway," Shields concluded.

There is no arguing that the Nokia Lumia 920 sports an extremely attractive design, and fitting a microSD card at the top or bottom of the phone would have been pretty difficult.  Do our readers think Nokia made the right choice? Let us know below.
