Nokia Champagne running Tango shows up in "I’m a WP7!" app

An unannounced Nokia Windows Phone 7.5 handset code named the Nokia Champagne has shown up in the logs of the  "I’m a WP7!"  app.

The phone runs Windows Phone OS build 7.10.8711, a post-Mango build and presumable a new Tango build.

Nothing more is known about the handset, but Nokia has said they will be bringing a “portfolio” of devices to USA, and will also be relying on Tango to penetrate Far Eastern markets like Thailand where they have high volume at present.

Tango is expected to expand the number of languages Windows Phone support, but also bring support for features like LTE and global device search. It is expected to arrive early next year, in the January/February 2012 time frame. Read more about Tango here.

A upcoming device we believe we know about is the Nokia Ace, which is a rumoured  Windows Phone with a 4.3” ClearBlack AMOLED screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.4 GHz single-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. The handset is rumoured to be released Q1 2012 on AT&T. Full specs…
