Microsoft has partnered with Argentina’s Ministry of Modernization and City of Buenos Aires as part of its CityNext initiative to release a special edition Nokia Lumia 520 device. This special edition Lumia 520 will come pre-installed with with government apps such as ‘BA Movil’ which provides real-time traffic information and ‘BA Como Llego’ which offers various ways to travel between two points: by public transportation, by car or on foot. These two apps BA Movil and BA Como Llego saw about 230,000 downloads and 309,000 downloads in Windows Phone Store respectively.
Apart of the pre-installed apps, this Lumia 520 comes with standard specs of 4-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera, 3G/4G capability, 512MB RAM and 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card support. The device will be available starting from ARS 900(150 USD approx) from all Argentinean mobile operator networks, starting January 2014.
