We recently learned about the new Work Assistant app from Microsoft, which is apparently a new cross-platform effort by Microsoft to use voice assistants to increase productivity.
Now Microsoft Place has managed to get their hands on the app and demonstrated a few of the features, which include being able to find, view, open, download, search and share documents from various sources, all by voice.
The feature is obviously designed mainly for those who use their phone more for work than play, but with powerful Office solutions coming to Windows 10 Mobile very soon I can see this becoming an increasingly common scenario.
The app still does not appear to be available to regular users, and we notice Microsoft Place is running it on a Samsung Ativ, suggesting some hacking is involved, but it will probably not be long before the app is officially released. It can be viewed in the Windows Phone Store here.
