Samsung is planning to release two Windows Phone 8 devices codenamed “Odyssey” and “Marco”. This info was revealed via court documents submitted by Samsung in Samsung-Apple patent trial case. Odyssey will be the flagship device featuring 4G LTE, NFC, 4.65′ HD SAMOLED display, 8M rear cam and 2MP front camera. Marco is a mid-range device with LTE, 4″ inch WVGA display with 5MP rear and 2MP front cam.
Both these devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8960 Snapdragon processors. This dual core chip has integrated multi-mode 3G/LTE modem, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM â€” and include support for near field communication (NFC), as well as stereoscopic 3D (S3D) video and photo capture and playback. It will also feature the Adreno 225 GPU which delivers eight times the performance of the original Adreno.
