Microsoft will release Windows 10 to consumers on July 29th. The company was intially expected to deliver Windows 10 RTM today – however, according to a new report from Brad Sams, the OS will not RTM this week. According to the report, Microsoft will deliver Windows 10 to OEMs in the middle of next week.
For those unfamiliar, RTM stands for Release to Manufacturing, and it’s when OEMs start the process of loading the OS on their new hardware. It’s worth noting that this won’t effect the release date of Windwos 10, meaning that it’ll still ship on July 29 to existing Windows users (well, at least some of them).
