New Preview for Developer update rolling out: Update - Critical update not actually critical

Microsoft is pushing out a new Preview for Developers update to Windows Phone 8.1 users.

The update takes the OS to 8.10.14192.280, and also includes a critical update.  At this point it is not clear what’s new, but we will keep you updated.

Update: Windows Phone developer head Greg Sullivan has posted on twitter that the Critical update component of the update was in fact just a test, and did not in fact patch any critical bugs.

I am sure our readers will agree this is the kind of thing you want to test before you use it in anger, so we are not complaining.
