LG has been looking to expand its portfolio and it has been evident from the leak from last night that revealed the company’s plan to launch a smart speaker. However, smart speakers are not the only thing that LG is looking at right now.

According to a patent filing uncovered by Letsgodigital, LG is planning to launch a foldable device as well. The patent was filed with the KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) on October 16, 2018, and was published on May 7, 2019. The patent talks about a phone that can be folded twice. LG has also added a stylus to the device which would make LG the first company to do so. The company has also designed a clever way of storing the stylus which is between the hinge. The company also plans to add three cameras on the front of the device. The sketches don’t show the I/O on the device. The device will also have a triple camera setup on the back.

LG, however, hasn’t talked much about foldable phones in the public. We do expect the company to shed light on the prospect of foldable phones at IFA in Berlin.
