A new build of the Nokia Lumia 800 firmware has shown up on NavirFirm with the build number 1600.2487.8107.12070.

The ROM seems to be intended for the Vodafone New Zealand Lumia 800, but seems to work well on other Lumias.

Initial assessment at XDA-Developers show improved battery drainage in idle mode, and an analysis of the ROM show 4 new camera modes:

  • Smart group shot
  • Panorama
  • Action
  • Self Timer

Hopefully the improvements will roll out as an update in the near future to other Lumia 800s all over the world also.
