New Game Developed During “Code Camp” Takes Advantage Of Kinect And Windows Phone

As part of the Kinect For Windows SDK launch yesterday, Microsoft organized a 24 hour coding marathon called “Code camp”. Students from various universities like University of Washington and external developers were invited for the event to develop apps based on Kinect SDK. Todd Bishop from Geekwire had a chance to interact with few of them and recorded videos of the projects they did during the 24 hour period. One of those projects was using Windows Phone in addition to Kinect for gameplay. Its a cooperative game for traveling parents and their kids at home that uses Kinect with a Windows Phone. One can control the gameplay of the game using Windows Phone similar to the one shown by Microsoft earlier this year. Hope such games come to market sooner.
