Netflix, Hulu and Weather apps show up for the Xbox One

Xbox One S

Xbox One is getting the Anniversary Update pretty soon. With the Anniversary Update, Microsoft is bringing Universal Windows Apps to the Xbox Store, meaning that Windows 10 apps which support the Xbox will be installable on the Xbox One. Now, ahead of the release of Anniversary Update, a couple of Universal Windows Apps have been spotted in the Store for the Xbox One. This includes the Netflix app for Windows 10, Hulu for Windows 10, and MSN Weather from Microsoft. Unfortunately though, you can’t install any of these apps on your  Xbox One just yet — even if you are a Xbox One Preview member and running the latest build, you won’t be able to install these apps yet.

Of course, this isn’t anything surprising and we will start seeing a lot of other Universal Windows Apps on the Xbox One very soon. It is worth noting that we’ll also be bringing our Windows 10 app to the Xbox One and other Windows 10 devices very soon as well. For now, if you have an Xbox One, checkout the Store and you may notice these apps in the Store.
