We have written about MobileRemote before, and then claimed this software, which turns your smartphone into a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for just about any device which supports the Bluetooth HID profile, supports the PS3. We jumped the gun a bit then, but it seems a small 1.1 update has sorted out any issues there may have been, and all the PS3’ers (about 19 million at last count) can get their typing and mousing on using their Touch Pro or even Diamond as a convenient keyboard for surfing and other typing activities.
The update also brings are new on-screen keyboard layouts, support for typing from the mouse and media controls, auto-connect functionality, and as mentioned PS3 and even OSX support.
The upgrade is free for all existing users. More information can be found at MobileSrc.com.
The software costs a very reasonable $8.99, and is available from the WMPoweruser software store here, but only until the end of the month, when it reverts to $11.99.
