Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 August update resolves Windows Hello error

Microsoft has updated its Surface with a quick bug fix for WIndows Hello issues. For background, earlier this week, reports went out of a number of Surface Pro 4 users experiencing issues with the Windows Hello drivers. This was attributed to updated drivers that were automatically installed but didn’t interface properly with the underlying hardware.  This update has now supposedly fixed the issue, and if all goes as intended, there should be no more issues with Hello.

Here’s the changelog from Microsoft’s update site:

  • Surface Camera Windows Hello – 1.0.75.1 resolves Windows Hello experience error.

You can snag the update from the Windows Update menu, if it hasn’t automatically been downloaded and installed already.
